Ashtons came to us in January with the goal of adopting an agile working office where employees can come and go as needed; we were more than happy to assist them in refurbishing their new office in Trafalgar House, Norwich to suit this purpose.
In order to achieve their goals, we incorporated hot desks, touch-down benches with integrated power, built in ‘quiet booths’, stand up meeting benches and a larger break-out area. We included single desks, as well as benches, as these can be moved and separated as needed. Alongside the desks, we included Herman Miller Sayl chairs – a personal favourite of Bluespace due to their versatility and timeless design.
The workplace now has a kitchen area with their own Hotspot Titanium boiling water tap and a unique breakfast bar to give the team a space to work on their own with a cup of coffee and lots of natural light. The office now has its own dedicated client lounge with a drinks station, waiting area and meeting rooms.
We also added some acoustic ceiling rafts and acoustic hanging screens to help with noise pollution in order to keep the space calm and tranquil. In true Bluespace style, we used colours to reflect the brand where possible, such as in upholstery and fire-proof lockers. By using the company colours of muted blues, purples and chartreuse, the space is not only in keeping with their brand, but also with their previous projects.
The space has been divided with both solid and stunning glass partitioning. In order not to detract from the amazing natural light in this space which creates a beautiful tranquil atmosphere, we included feature pendant lights
