We have just finished working on a design and fit out project for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) who are a Norfolk based charity, providing a lifesaving service 365 days a year across Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Suffolk.

The ground floor of the modular style building incorporates a lobby, bathrooms, a space for the storage of the pilots’ kit, workstations for administrative staff and workstations for the pilots. The 1st floor consists of a training room, a kitchen/dining area, showers & lockers, 2 sleeping quarters and a pilot’s lounge. As you can imagine, these hard-working pilots are ready in their heavy, full flight gear 24 hours a day for a call out, so the time spent in the lounge and kitchen areas waiting for a call out can be extensive. We designed a space that was not only practical to use, but that would last as long as possible with the intensive use it would get. This included choosing furniture fabrics with an added vinyl lining to increase the longevity of the products.

The EAAA are a team of highly skilled staff, including Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, which provides an invaluable service to hundreds of people every year. We are proud to have helped them make the most of their work space and get the best out of their valuable budget.

Bluespace Ltd Testimonials

The team at Bluespace are professionals from design right through to the installation team on site. Furniture decisions can be quite stressful but Bluespace led us through the choices, worked with stakeholders and kept within our budget. The Centrum on the Norwich Research Park was a challenge – the space performs lots of functions: a busy café-restaurant, a place for a private chat or to work on the laptop between meetings, a networking venue and presentation space alongside meeting rooms! Bluespace proposals made the space work for everyone. We’ve had lots of praise for the choice of furniture and I’m sure this has contributed to Centrum’s success. I look forward to working with Steve, Jonathon and Fran again.
