This week, we begin the painstaking process of counting, checking, double checking and ordering the office furniture for the very large Castle House which is also known as Taylor Wimpey’s new office in Bury St Edmunds. In total there are 100 desks, 140 chairs and 145 cupboards which all fall into a number of different categories of detailed specifications, so it is crucial to make sure that everything is ordered, present and correct.
In other news, we are putting the finishing touches on The Genome Analysis Centre in the shape of 12 new sofas for their break out area. A break out area is a space within an office which is open to employees or visitors and is separate from the usual working area. It can be used for lunch breaks, informal meetings or just plain relaxing.
If your office requires some new furniture, whether it be 1 desk or 1000 desks, or perhaps you could do with a break(out area) contact us here.
The team at Bluespace are professionals from design right through to the installation team on site. Furniture decisions can be quite stressful but Bluespace led us through the choices, worked with stakeholders and kept within our budget. The Centrum on the Norwich Research Park was a challenge – the space performs lots of functions: a busy café-restaurant, a place for a private chat or to work on the laptop between meetings, a networking venue and presentation space alongside meeting rooms! Bluespace proposals made the space work for everyone. We’ve had lots of praise for the choice of furniture and I’m sure this has contributed to Centrum’s success. I look forward to working with Steve, Jonathon and Fran again.
